VP General Services Manager/ Security Officer
Job Summary:
The Vice President of General Services is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and improvement of all physical facilities within the organization. This role ensures that all facilities meet regulatory and safety standards, remain functional, and provide a productive work environment. The General Services Manager will also manage vendor relationships, oversee purchasing and mailroom activities, coordinate with various departments, and lead a team of maintenance professionals and a Department Coordinator. Also serves as Bank Security Officer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field, minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a similar role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory standards including OSHA and ADA.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and negotiate with vendors effectively.
- Ability to form strong, productive working relationships with managers and employees alike.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends during emergencies or special projects.
- Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA, BOMA).
- Experience with facilities management software and systems.
- Reliable transportation, driver's license, and appropriate insurance for travel between locations.
ADA Requirements:
Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping in the performance of daily office activities. Grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination are required in using a computer keyboard. Near, far, and color vision is used in reading documents and in using the computer. Hearing and speaking are required when providing phone and face-to-face service. The need to lift, drag and push files, paper, and documents weighing up to 50 pounds also is required. The incumbent often juggles multiple tasks, works under pressure of deadlines and with frequent interruptions.
