Senior Information Technology Specialist / Main Branch

Purpose of Position:

Under the supervision of the VP IT, oversees management of IT computer operations to include host core system, core business network applications; check processing and document imaging service activities, including major updates and maintenance. Provide coverage and support bank IT Help Desk technical services and third-party vendor applications. Provide coverage and support bank cyber security services and incident mitigation responses. Supervisory oversight of Information Technology Specialists.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a financial institution environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Jack Henry application services and administration
  • Experience using AD active directory network administration in a Windows environment a plus
  • Two or more years experience in personal computer and network technical support
  • One year experience in network maintenance and user technical support.
  • Ability to communicate and effectively work with technical and non-technical personnel to resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use of discretion in performance of job duties.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of VMWare and virtual servers
  • Demonstrated working knowledge with PC hardware/software installation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office core applications, Windows Server operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of network services and cybersecurity services
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of vendors, bank managers and employees.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed, to complete special projects
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while performing duties.
  • Valid Driver's license and personal transportation, including appropriate insurance coverage, for travel between locations.

ADA Requirements:

Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement, and fine coordination in the use of a computer keyboard. Additionally, the position requires near, far, and color vision in reading, working on computers and related equipment, and using the computer. Hearing is required when providing phone and face-to-face service to department personnel. While working with computers and related equipment the incumbent may be exposed to electrical and mechanical hazards and heavy dust. Working in and around the computer room, loud background noise may exist. When installing equipment and/or making equipment repairs, the incumbent will use common hand tools such as a screwdriver, wire cutters and pliers. The incumbent must be able to discriminate among and match colors when installing cables and when adjusting colors on monitors. Equipment installation also involves working with arms above shoulder level, bending and stopping repeatedly or continually over time, and performing installation work in small, cramped closets, under desks, behind cabinets and while sitting on the floor. The incumbent will lift and move monitors, printers, servers, paper files, and other equipment weighing up to 50 pounds short and long distances without assistance. The incumbent often juggles multiple tasks, works under pressure of deadlines and with frequent interruptions.
