Commercial Loan Officer

Purpose of Position:

This position requires 10 to 15 years lending experience and the ability to produce a minimum of $10 million in commercial loans per year. You will be responsible for soliciting, negotiating, underwriting and coordinating the closing of complex commercial real estate transactions, business equipment financing, SBA loan knowledge and all other business related loans in compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures; develops business checking and deposit relationships with customers; and promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or 10 - 15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Significant lending experience and a high level of business development on an ongoing basis.
• Advanced knowledge, experience and training in lending activities and terminology.
• Demonstrated ability to develop marketing and business development skills to build customer relationships.
• Advanced knowledge of lending and compliance regulations and other Bank policies.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.
• Intermediate PC Skills to include Windows 10, Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of Jack Henry a plus.
• Valid Driver's license and transportation, including appropriate insurance coverage, for travel between locations.
