Branch Manager

Purpose of Position:

This position ensures the efficient daily operation of the Branch, including product sales, customer service, and security and safety in accordance with the Bank's objectives. Develops new deposit and loan business; provides superior customer service and promotes a sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation. Provides leadership, training and supervision to all Tellers and Personal Bankers. Supports retail staff by assisting with customer transactions and account opening/maintenance as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree or comparable combination of education and work experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Advanced experience, knowledge and training in progressively responsible branch operations and supervisory activities.
  • Advanced knowledge of related statutory banking compliance regulations, Bank operations policies and procedures, and the Bank's products and services.
  • Ability to provide leadership, supervision and training for Branch staff using positive supervisory techniques to ensure maximum productivity; demonstrated ability in organization and delegation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to cross-sell and explain all products and services with confidence.
  • Basic loan product knowledge.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facts and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of human resource and labor laws and policies.
  • Intermediate Vertex, Jack Henry, Deposit Pro, and 4sight skills.
  • Intermediate PC Skills to include Windows 10, Word and Excel.
  • Valid Driver's license and transportation with appropriate insurance coverage for travel between locations and business development calls.
