Purpose of Position: Multi-functional clerk within the Operations Department serving as retail support and responsible for duties regarding deposit account processing, data entry/verification, and multi-balancing functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Upload new accounts and perform data entry and verification of entries on Jack Henry
  • Maintain CIF records, process return mail and change of address forms
  • Process NSF report, un-posted report, stop pays & suspects, dormant accounts, early close out accounts, collection items & charged back items
  • Mail daily notices; process and mail interest checks
  • Balance deposits, CDs, tellers, and telephone transfers
  • Balance bank ATMs and perform ATM/Visa transaction reconciliation
  • Issue & maintain ATM and Visa cards
  • Put daily work (checks) in trays and destroy checks according to the destruction schedule
  • Process Electronic Fund Error Resolution claims
  • Daily maintenance and processing of the ACH files
  • Perform weekly CD forecasting
  • Filing
  • Cross-train in other Operational functions as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year Retail or Operations banking experience in a position requiring strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Intermediate PC skills in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Data entry experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Jack Henry a plus
  • Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write correspondence, and respond to questions from managers, customers, employees and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and other Bank operational policies.
  • Must be detailed-oriented, highly organized, and perform job duties with high degree of accuracy.
  • Valid Driver's license, transportation and insurance for travel between locations in the course of employment.
